Mr. Raghu is an industry expert in asset integrity, risk and reliability, materials engineering, and corrosion with deep and wide experience in technical assurance, technology innovation, digitalization, and systems engineering-spanning upstream, refining, energy transition (CCUS, Hydrogen, Biofuels), pipelines, LNG and Gas to Liquids. During his 35 years of experience, he has been engaged in the total energy value chain spanning from developing engineering and technology strategy, implementation, engineering and technology projects management, risk assessment and management, fitness for service and global technical assurance for the materials, corrosion, and integrity portfolio. Mr. Raghu’s experience spans conventional oil and gas and the energy transition sector. His experience includes (1)engineering and consulting for pipeline and upstream asset integrity, novel inspection and monitoring and fitness for service, both as an technical expert and technical leader (2) Technical delivery assurance and technical management of materials and integrity of large capital projects in Americas spanning deep-water, LNG, Chemical and refining (3) Conceptualizing, design and delivery of a global technology innovation portfolio for Materials & Integrity including techno-economics and risk management (4) Consultation and development and delivery of a sizable energy transition portfolio for materials and integrity encompassing Carbon capture, Biofuels, Hydrogen and pipeline and storage. (4) Leveraging enablers like digitalization, systems engineering and agile to enhance the engineering consulting outputs. In Biofuels, Carbon capture, Hydrogen, Raghu’s experience span development of technology strategy, road map and maturation plans, novel technology and engineering development and implementation, risk management of new and legacy infrastructure and techno-economic assessment of routes to success. Mr. Raghu has considerable experience in elevated temperature materials, design and life computation, having worked in Deloro Stellite (Kennametal Stellite) as its Director of Technology. Raghu also has deep expertise in additive manufacturing-3D printing technology, assurance, and innovation. Mr. Raghu worked for 35 years for the Royal Dutch Shell Group, Petroleos de Venezuela (PdVSA) and Deloro Stellite in engineering, research, and management roles with assignments in US, Netherlands Antilles, Argentina, Netherlands, and India. Prior to his retirement from Shell, Mr. Raghu was the global General Manager for Materials, Integrity and Construction Research & Innovation and the Global Technical Authority for Materials Corrosion and Integrity (a global technical assurance role). Mr. Raghu received his BS in Metallurgical Engineering and MS in Corrosion Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer – registered by the Engineering Council-UK. Mr. Raghu is based in Cypress (Houston), TX.
